Dr. Ashok Rattan
Chief Executive, FCRL
Dr Ashok Rattan, Chief Executive, Fortis Clinical Research Ltd. (FCRL) is a Microbiologist of international standing. His last assignment was with SRL as Director of their Clinical Reference Laboratory in Gurgaon and Director of all SRL labs in Fortis / Escorts Hospitals in Delhi and NCR. He has also worked for World Health Organization (WHO) as Laboratory Director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) administered Caribbean Epidemiology Centre (CAREC) at Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.  Dr. Rattan has around two and a half decades of rich experience in the areas of diagnostics, research, and drug discovery besides academics. He has over a hundred publications to his credit and is named in 10 international patents. 

Prior to his WHO stint, Dr Rattan had a long standing association (7 yrs.) with Ranbaxy Research Labs as Director – Infectious Diseases (new drug discovery research) and worked as Additional Professor in the Department of Microbiology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi (12 years).  

Dr. Ashok Rattan obtained his MD (Microbiology) from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in 1984. He has undergone training in Medical Education at Dundee Institute of Technology, Scotland, UK (1990), Neisseria infections in CDC, Atlanta and NIH, USA (1990) and has been trained in Molecular Biology of Mycobacteria (1997) in Prof. Erik C. Bottger's laboratory, Hanover, Germany and extended spectrum Beta lactamase (1997) in Prof. A. Baunfiend's lab, Munich, Germany.

He has conducted training workshop on WHONET, TB, Nosocomial infections, Opportunistic Infections and Laboratory support for Care and Treatment of HIV/AIDS infections and on PK/PD aspects of antibiotic action in many countries of the South East Asia, Caribbean and Latin American Region and is the author of the NBT subsided book on Antibiotics in Laboratory Medicine.

Shireen Rao
Head - Bioanalytical
Bioanalytical and Pharmacokinetic Professional with around 15 years of research experience in Bioanalytical and analytical Method Development and Validation, conducting Bioavailability and Bio-equivalence studies, Stability studies, Documentation procedures, cGLP and cGMP guidelines and related quality systems.

Conducted around 250 bio-availability and bio-equivalence studies for various immediate release, delayed release and extended release formulations as per approved protocols to assess their pharmacokinetic behavior.Major regulatory agencies like US-FDA,MHRA (UK), TGA (Australia), MCC (South Africa) and ANVISA (Brazil) have accorded approval for such studies .

Have also handled advanced instruments like HPLC, LC/MS/MS. Prior to FCRL was with Ranbaxy Research Labs where have worked as a scientist in analytical and bio-analytical areas and had lead a group of analysts for conducting BA/BE studies for various types of formulations.

Dr. Deepak Chandra Chilkoti
Head of Clinical Operations
Dr. Deepak C Chilkoti is the Head of Clinical Operations. He hold’s Master’s degree (MD) specializing in Pharmacology from Delhi University. He also hold’s a post graduate diploma in management from symbiosis University.

He has over 04 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and clinical research industry. His responsibilities includes organization and conduct of bioequivalence and bioavailability studies on generic and NDDS products of all major therapeutic areas, and Phase I studies. Prior to joining FCRL, Dr. Deepak worked at Auriga Research Limited as Head Clinical and at Panacea Biotec limited as a project manager.

He has expertise and experience in managing clinical operations for global studies for submission to the FDA and EMEA.

K K Singh
Head - IT & Instrumentation
He is Graduate in Science with Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science and holds MBA degree in Information Technology. He is also holding various diploma and certifications in Information Technology area.

Started his career in IT infrastructure management and acquired over 12 years of technical and managerial experience solving business problems with Information System Technology solutions by process improvements and innovations. Previously, he has successfully launched many start-up MNC’s related to high-end IT Infrastructure, Database Products, Network Security and ERP Implementation.

Vikas Arora
Senior Manager Accounts
A qualified Chartered Accountant (C. A.), with more than 5 years of post qualification experience in the field of Accounting, Finance, Audits and Tax Laws. He has been working with the company since inception.

Prior to joining the company he has worked with Indswift Limited and other practicing C.A. Firms involved in financial audits and consultancy.

Nitendra Singh Rautela
Manager - Human Resources
A science graduate and an MBA with dual specialization in Human Resources Management and Marketing Management.

He is a competent and result-driven professional with more than 6 years’ cross-functional experience in Human Resource Management & General Administration. Significant expertise in managing a wide spectrum of Human Resource management functions entailing Recruitment, Performance Appraisals, Salary Administration, Statutory Compliances, Employee Relations with a view to secure a sound work culture within the organization.

His previous assignments were with reputed companies like Bharti Airtel Services Limited and ITC Marriott Welcom Hotel Saket, New Delhi.
